How to be always happy and free from sorrow

Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.

Every being in the world would like to be always happy and free from sorrow and bodily ailments. Suffering is an inevitable part of the pleasure. Sufferings from a part of life. In day to day life, there is no one who has not undergone either physical or mental emotional sufferings. We try to avoid such situation, but it is not possible to avoid. More than physical ailments, mental suffering brings about unhappiness. Mental breakdown affects the body much more and is insecure. It creates disharmony with the surroundings of such a person. He tries to avoid his sufferings by indulging in unhealthy ways. Man instead of analyzing scientifically to understand the nature and behavior of the outer world of objects and the inner experiences with us and the potential of life is simply avoiding the actual facts of life.

The main causes for man’s sorrow are his delusion that he is the body and the divinity is different from his. Due to ignorance, he forgets that the mind is the cause of his bondage. He is not able to restrain the mind and suffers as a consequence.

Though one could be infinitely happy by just enjoying the nature and family and all the human-made things, there are still millions of people who are unhappy. In the developed countries there is a very fortunate circumstance of having both God-given and man-made things. Still majority of people there is unhappy.

Be in constant awareness of the self, don’t confuse the suffering of the body with the self. By positive and auto-suggestion that you are not the body, mind, but a pure transcendental witnessing consciousness you can endure the suffering.

You would realize that the mere availability and abundance of God-given and human-made things are not enough. There is something else which should be right to be happy. Of course, it is our mind that must have the right attitude towards and capacity to be happy.

The true path to happiness in life comes from not only knowing one’s self but seeing clearly all that is around us. We can perceive things as they are in relation to how we feel, how we think, and how we act. So do not expect, also do not hope too much from others,

When we stop managing ourselves, we can then be present. From this place comes reality, the pure and simple truth of what is. We allow ourselves to move forward as we should. We let go, and in this there is peace. There is the possibility of not only truth but enlightenment for ourselves and our journey through the world that exists within us and outside of ourselves.

Be a source of carefulness and strength to all those in their time of suffering and conditions. Going through suffering, you turn to god and understand the divine.

“Suffering becomes beautiful when anyone bears great calamities with cheerfulness, not through insensibility but through the greatness of mind.”

Suffering can be due to past karmas and by prayer, good deeds one can soften the suffering. Suffering can be due to the tests of god loss of property, wealth, disease, separation from the beloved ones. Your happiness is shallow. It depends on somebody, something, sadness is more realistic, it does yours not depend on anybody. Sadness is silent, it can give you a great insight, can help you more than your happiness. It gives you a chance to go deeper into your aloneness, it is a better means of meditation. Alone you are born alone, you die, if you are silent, deductive relaxed then suddenly there is something like a collective soul brings solace to you.

Remember, you deserve a happy life and you can lead a happy life, but in the end, you reap what you sow, if you are sowing happiness in your life then you will reap happiness as well.

Those people are happy who by the grace of god live in the present and enjoy the work as their duty and work hard for achievement in life by their present efforts and also those who are not too anxious to know about their future.

Happy is he whose wants are few, fewer the wants, the happier the person. It is our more wants or desires that make us unhappy, these things alone will never get contentment in our life even if we get big palaces, luxury cars or so.

Spiritual teachers also teach us to live in God’s will. Accept the reality ups and downs as the order/his will. Pray for real wealth instead, i.e. living in his will in good or bad conditions, never ever think you are alone. God takes care of each and every being.

“Only one thing has to change for us to know happiness in our lives: where we focus our attention.”
